This has been a topic I’ve been reflecting on in recent weeks, and the more I sit with it, the more I understand that there isn’t.
There is no such thing as “a soul lesson about money.”
So, what is there?

Money reflects many things back to us. It pushes us and forces us into certain actions. Money is a means for spiritual development — it is not the spiritual development itself.
What does that mean?
It means that through money, I experience soul lessons such as self-image, self-confidence, self-love, and more.
These days, I’m looking for ways to invest the money I inherited from my father. The options are endless, and I feel overwhelmed. Overwhelmed and paralyzed.
Is that a soul lesson about money?
No.
It’s a soul lesson about believing in myself, in my intuition. It’s a lesson about trust — because investing involves taking risks. And it’s also an opportunity and an invitation to heal experiences around investing that I had more than 20 years ago.
There are many soul lessons here, and also an invitation to healing — and it’s all happening through my relationship with the energy called “money.”
So, is money a soul lesson?
I don’t think so.
Our real soul lessons are what our engagement with money brings up.
