"When you work with the Akashic Records, do you open them before you enter?" she asked me during the workshop on the Akashic Records of the world.

This question stems from the common approach in the Akashic Records community, where it is believed that to access the records, one must open them or recite an intention prayer beforehand.
Each teacher has their method.
But generally, most of those I've met also open the records before they enter them.
I sometimes use this approach. It depends on the tool I'm working with.
If it's about connecting with my guides in the records, then yes—the intention prayer helps me focus and connect.
If it's through guided imagery, then yes. I guide clients in opening their Akashic Records to make it easier for them to access the records.
If it's through a constellation of the Akashic Records, then no.
In a representing work, there's no need to set an intention or open anything. Simply placing the representation is the intention; it is what brings us to the Akashic Records.
